Call for papers: Automotive Product Development, Design and Engineering Process and Applications

A special issue of the International Journal of Product Development (IJPD)

If the mantra is "product, product, product", then lean product development (PD) and management is crucial to deliver the right, cool product to market at the right price. Although each automaker may have adopted a uniquely different approach, the goals are the same: fast delivery of the quality product that the customer wants.

Contributions are invited to this special issue of IJPD that attempts to disseminate the essential practices used by the automotive industry for product development from concept to design and engineering, to prove out, to production and to sales. The lean PD practices include implementing lean principles in every stage of the PD process and management along with the tools and methodologies used to achieve product programme delivery with fast and more products to market, minimum costs and meeting customers' satisfactions and desires.
