1st Workshop on Social Information Retrieval in Technology-Enhanced Learning (SIRTEL'07)

The aim of the SIRTEL'07 Workshop is to bring together researchers
and practitioners working on topics related to the application of
Social information retrieval (SIR) methods, techniques and systems
in Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL).
The workshop will take stock of the current status of research in
this area, serve as a discussion forum and facilitate establishing
liaisons between different groups that are exploring related subjects.
In addition, it wishes to outline the rich potential of modern
SIR methods, techniques and systems in order to build TEL systems
and services.
SIRTEL'07 will include:
- 8 full paper presentations & 1 system demonstration
- Keynote by David Wiley, Director of the Center for Open and Sustainable Learning
- Keynote by Francisco J. Martin, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MyStrands
- "Facilitators and Enablers" discussion session chaired by Erik Duval, KULeuven & ARIADNE Foundation

ABOUT EC-TEL07
The Second European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning provides a
unique forum for all research related to TEL, including its interactions
with knowledge management, business processes and work environments.
This is a competitive and broad forum for TEL research in Europe
and world-wide through specialised workshops and the main conference.
Workshop participants are expected to enroll to the conference and pay
the additional workshop fee (with the registration process) that
includes coffee breaks during the workshop.
