This special issue will focus on the application of model-driven
approaches to the development of services and service-oriented
architectures. We expect contributions on advances in methods and
modeling techniques for services and their compositions (including
design concepts, languages, meta-models, profiles and specification
frameworks); advances in methodological guidance for the model-driven
service development process, and advances in model transformations (or
mappings) that are targeted to deploy services and their compositions
in (web-)services platforms.

For this special issue we are inviting authors (researchers and
practitioners) to submit original submissions on the following
(non-exhaustive) list of topics:

22nd Nov. 2007 Deadline for submissions.
15th Jan. 2008 Notification for authors.
15th Feb. 2008 Camera-ready
Publication in 2008.

Submission Information:

For this special issue, the authors should submit papers by e-mailing
the special issue editors instead of using the regular IJBPIM
submission site or contacting the IJBPIM journal editors. The primary
contact for this special issue is João Paulo A. Almeida (e-mail:
jpalmeida at ieee dot org; please include 'ijbpim-MDSOA' in the
subject line).

All submissions will be formally peer-reviewed by at least 3
reviewers. Papers published or submitted elsewhere will be
automatically rejected. Papers should not exceed 7000 words.
