29 July - 1 August 2008 * Hannover, Germany
===================================
We cordially invite you to participate at the Adaptive Hypermedia 2008
conference, from 29 July until 1 August in Hannover, Germany.
The Adaptive Hypermedia conferences are the major forums for the scientific
exchange and presentation of research on adaptive hypermedia and adaptive
Web-based systems. The 2008 conference is momentous, as it represents the
marriage of the Adaptive Hypermedia and User Modeling communities.
Keynote speakers are Jan Borchers (RWTH Aachen University), Peter
Brusilovsky (University of Pittsburgh) and John Riedl (University of
Minnesota).
24 selected full papers will be presented at the conference, covering the
following themes: collaboration and recommendation, user and learner models,
empirical studies of AH, Web and e-learning systems, personalization
techniques and location-based personalization.
Short papers and demos are presented at a poster reception with food and
drinks. 11 Ph.D. students will present their research ideas at the Doctoral
Consortium.
The following workshops will take place on the first day of Adaptive
Hypermedia 2008:
- Adaptive Collaboration Support

Also make sure to participate at the ongoing bl.AH discussion event during
the conference.
Hannover is a pleasant, medium-sized city in the northern part of Germany.
The city is famous for its fairs, most importantly the annual CeBIT fair at
which the latest technologies are presented. A major attraction is the
historical Herrenhausen Garden.
