The aim of CITED2008 is to present research and best practice in the areas of information technology, management, and their impact on economic development. CITED2008 will consist of workshops, tutorials, trade transactions, keynote speeches, paper presentations, and panel discussions. The event should inspire a fruitful dialogue among practitioners, government officials, scholars, and investors; CITED2008 will address the needs of all participants. Accepted Papers will be published in the CD conference proceedings. Best papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of IT for Development, Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries, the International Journal of Knowledge Management, and a proposed book on Managing Information Technology for Economic Development.

Submissions Instructions:
Submissions can be made in a number of categories: Completed research papers, research-in-progress papers, case studies, panels and posters/round table discussion papers. Please follow the following guidelines in preparing your submission.
Completed research papers
Typically 5,000 words long (excluding abstract and references)
Research in progress papers
Typically 2,500 words (excluding abstract and references)
Case studies
Typically between 3,000 and 5,000 words long
Posters and round table discussion
Typically a 1000 word synopsis of the topic area to be presented
Panel proposals
Typically a 1000 word description, identifying the panelists to be involved
In preparing your papers, please use the Harvard referencing style. In text citations should be in an Author (date) format with the bibliographical list inserted at the end of the paper.
Submission and review process will be handled electronically using http://conferences.globalinformationservices.net/eventLogin.php? If you have problems, email your submission directly to abel.usoro@uws.ac.uk. Please make your submission as one MSWord or RTF file. Include all figures and tables in relevant places in the text. The title page should indicate the title, author affiliations including telephone, fax and email, in case of multiple authors corresponding author details should be clearly identified. The title page should also identify the track for which you wish your paper to be considered. All submissions will be double blind peer reviewed.
Accepted Papers will be published in the CD conference proceedings. Best papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of IT for Development, Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries, and the International Journal of Knowledge Management.
