Deadline extended: AMAI special issue on probabilistic relational learning

Final call for papers -- note that the deadline has been extended to Sep.16!

Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence
          Special Issue: Probabilistic Relational Learning

                  http://www.cs.aau.dk/~jaeger/AMAI/

Over the past 15 years relational and logical probabilistic models have
attracted an increasing interest within several research communities,
especially among researchers in the fields of probabilistic graphical
models and inductive logic programming. While perspectives and methods
differ,
the different research traditions have converged on what now emerges as the
coherent and exciting subject of probabilistic relational learning (a.k.a.
statistical relational learning, or probabilistic logic learning).
Probabilistic
relational learning deals with machine learning and data mining in
relational domains,
in which observations may be missing, partially observed, and/or noisy.

For this special issue of the Annals of Mathematics and Artificial
Intelligence
we invite high-quality papers on all aspects of probabilistic relational
models
and learning. Of particular interest are papers that provide a deeper
understanding
of fundamental mathematical, statistical or algorithmic aspects of
probabilistic
relational learning. However, papers with a focus on empirical results
and applications
(especially in the AI domain), as well as high quality review papers
are also welcome.

Some specific topics of interest are:

Papers can be submitted by email to any of the guest editors. Submission
deadline
is September 16, 2007.
