WAMIS-2009 aims to bring together researchers in an effort to highlight the state-of-the-art and discuss the issues and opportunities to explore new research directions and develop new ideas. We strongly welcome submissions that include results which advance the state of the art relating to the theme of the symposium, either through theoretical analysis or experimental analysis. Accepted papers will be published by the IEEE CS Press. A selection of best papers will be published in a special issue of the journal Knowledge Engineering Review.
