Call for contributions
BENEVOL 2008 : The 7th BElgian-NEtherlands software eVOLution workshop
This year the 7th edition of the BElgian-NEtherlands software eVOLution
workshop (BENEVOL 2008) will take place at Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
The
two-day workshop will be held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 December
2008.
The aim of the workshop is to bring researchers to identify and discuss
important principles, problems, techniques and results related to
software
evolution research and practice. Special theme of BENEVOL 2008 is
Ensuring
software quality in evolution.
Important dates
- Deadline for submissions: November 9, 2008 at midnight (Amsterdam- Brussels time).
- Notification: November 14, 2008.
- Final version: November 23, 2008 at midnight (Amsterdam-Brussels time).
- Workshop: December 11-12, 2008.
We solicit contributions describing recent results or novel ideas.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Model-driven software evolution: models transformation, evolution and co-evolution of models, verification and validation of evolving models, quality of models and model transformations, modeling evolution, meta-modeling;
- Foundations & paradigms: objects, components, aspects, formal languages, semantics, theories for software evolution;
- Empirical studies in evolution: empirical results, case studies, experimentation design, measurement, quality models for evolvability;
- Tool support for software evolution: tools to assist the evolution process, tools to ensure or to verify quality of the evolution process or of the evolving artifacts;
- Data-intensive systems evolution: data evolution, reengineering data-intensive systems and databases;
- Process-intensive systems evolution: process evolution, reengineering process-oriented systems;
- Software evolution in "emerging" paradigms: Model-Driven, Aspect-Oriented, Service-Oriented, Open Source, Software Product Lines;
- Managerial aspects and process models for software evolution: software re-engineering and quality improvement, inconsistency management and co-evolution;
- Software analysis techniques to support software evolution: static and dynamic analysis, change propagation, metrics;
- Data and process analysis techniques to support software evolution: data and process analysis, data and process mining;
- Embedded, adaptative and context-aware systems;
- Dynamic adaptation, composition and reconfiguration of software and services.
Contributions sollicited may either be
- abstracts (a title and a short abstract), or
- short papers 2-4 pages in the LNCS style
The conference language is English. PDF files of the submissions
should be
send to a.serebrenik@tue.nl. In case of acceptance the authors should
submit LaTeX source file(s) for inclusion in the informal proceedings to
be distributed during the workshop. Proceedings of BENEVOL 2008 will
published as a technical report of Eindhoven University of Technology.
