NGITS'2009
The 7th conference on Next Generation Information Technologies and Systems
June 16th - June 18th, 2009, Haifa, Israel

NGITS 2009 is the seventh conference in a series that was launched in 1993
to promote research on new technologies in information systems. The NGITS
conference is a 3-day event that combines keynote addresses, presentations
of research papers, poster sessions, technical demonstrations, an
industrial track, tutorials, and social events. Information on the

Call for Participation
NGITS will take place at IBM Haifa research labs, at the campus of the
University of Haifa, between June 16th 2009 and June 18th 2009.

The program includes:
1. An industrial track during the first day of the conference (June 16th)
2. A reception at the end of the first day.
3. Two days of research tracks that include:
a. Two keynote speakers and an invited talk:
Structured Data on the Web - Alon Halevy
• Searching in the "Real World" - Ophir Frieder
• Enhancing Text Readability in Damaged Documents - Gideon Frieder
b. 15 Research papers (for detailed program please see the conference
website)
4. A social event that includes a tour to the Kineret area, dinner, and a
night tour to Beit Shean.
Important dates
Early registration: Until May 15th, 2009
Late registration: Until June 15th, 2009

Registration fees were cut down in order to encourage participation of
students. For specific details please see the conference website.
