4th Annual itSMF Academic Alliance Forum -- Final reminder Call for Abstracts

The due date for submission of abstracts for presentation at the 4th itSMF
Academic Alliance Forum is coming up. Please consider submitting your
innovative approaches for incorporation of itSMF content into the IS
curriculum.

The itSMF-USA Academic Forum informs the academic community of the best
practices, latest techniques, and opportunities in the practitioner
community. From an academic perspective, the purpose is to provide
teaching techniques, syllabi, cases, and so on to assist IT programs in
developing new courses or revising existing courses to emphasize ITSM
concepts and IT servitization. The audience is primarily comprised of
professors from North American universities, seeking both understanding of
ITSM tenets and teaching and research ideas and collateral.

This call is for the submission of two-page extended abstracts describing,
ITSM-related course offerings, techniques for servitizing existing IT/IS
courses, case studies, IT service simulations or other ITSM-related course
material or pedagogical techniques relevant to improving course offerings
and content within the ITSM domain.

Authors of the selected abstracts will be invited to present their work at
the 2009 itSMF Academic Forum, September 19-20, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.
ItSMF-USA supports this effort -- fully covering the costs of the Forum
and subsidizing academic speakers and Forum participants (paying one night
of hotel accommodations and one day attendance (9/21) to the itSMFusion
Conference immediately following the Academic Forum). A two-phased
selection process similar to that of the itSMFusion Conference will be
followed. First, during a phone screening of two-page abstracts, authors
will be interviewed to discuss their presentations and confirm their
commitment to attend if selected as speakers. Final selection of
presenters and notification will follow. Important dates associated with
the selection and review processes are:
