Josep R. Casas


Josep R. Casas is Associate Professor at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC).

His research activity started in image coding and moved to the field of image and video analysis, with emphasis on segmentation, object analysis in multi-camera environments and structure analysis for semantic interpretation.

Josep R. Casas has led UPC contribution to CHIL (Computers in the Human Interaction Loop), an IP of the IST/EU 6th Framework Program, for which a Smart Room equipped with 12 cameras and 84 microphones.was built at UPC.
