Ralf Klamma
I have a diploma degree and a doctoral degree both in computer science from RWTH Aachen University. Currently, I lead the research group “metadata in community information systems” at the information systems chair, RWTH Aachen University. In 2001, I spent several months as a visiting fellow at the MIT Entrepreneurship Center of MIT Sloan School of Management, to experience Entrepreneurship Teaching and Research. Since 2002, I am project leader in the collaborative research center “Media and Cultural Communication”, since 2004 core member and work package leader for "Social Software" in the EU IST Network of Excellence on Professional Training PROLEARN, and since 2006 member of the research excellence cluster "Ultra High Speed Mobile Information and Communication" (UMIC). I have organized the PROLEARN Summer Schools in Sile, Turkey, Bled, Slovenia and Fréjus, France. In 2007 I was the co-chair of the European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning (EC-TEL). In summer term 2004 I took over a stand-in professorship for media informatics at the TU Chemnitz and in winter term 2004/05 a stand-in professorship for dialog-oriented systems at the University of Passau.
